islands that line Pinellas County, running north and south along the western
banks of St. Petersburg and Clearwater. The Gulf or Mexico is located
west of the barrier islands and the Intracoastal Waterway is located east
of the islands. Treasure Island offers and ideal vacation location for
a wide range of interests. Sunset Beach is a particularly enjoyable location
because it is in a peaceful setting, just off Gulf Boulevard, which is
the main thoroughfare running north and south through the barrier islands.
